Shaping the Future Today is taking place at the Moonee Valley Racecourse Convention Centre in Melbourne.  Home to one of Australia's best known races - the Group 1 $3 million Tatts Cox Plate - Moonee Valley’s world class convention centre is conveniently located between the airport and the Melbourne CBD.

Getting there

Moonee Valley is easily accessed by rail, tram and car.

  • Traveling from the city by car:  Melway reference: 29 A7

From Melbourne city, proceed via Elizabeth Street to Flemington Road, and then branch left onto Mt Alexander Road. Follow the road to Moonee Ponds junction; turn right into Kellaway Avenue, left into Pascoe Vale Road and right into Wilson Street. Turn right into access road (indicated by sign).

Alternatively, from Melbourne city, you can follow Citylink north and exit at Moreland Road. At the end of Moreland Road, turn left into Pascoe Vale Road. Follow Pascoe Vale Road and turn left into Wilson Street.

From the airport by car

From Tullamarine, take Citylink toward Melbourne city. Exit at Brunswick Road turnoff, and then turn right into Ormond Road. Turn right into Pattison Street, and proceed under Dean Street overpass to enter course.

Travelling by Public Transport

  • By Train:  The Broadmeadows line train departs from Flinders Street station. Disembark at Moonee Ponds station.
    The Moonee Valley is a 10-minute walk down Puckle Street, across Moonee Ponds junction to Dean Street, and turn left into McPherson Street for the main entrance.
  • By Tram & Bus: Terminals are located at the Moonee Ponds Junction (off Puckle St and Pascoe Vale, Mt Alexander and Ascot Vale Roads).
    Tram No. 59 from Elizabeth St arrives directly at the Junction terminal. From there it is a 200m walk to the Stand Turnstile entrance on McPherson St.
  • By Taxi: Taxis are available following the races on McPherson Street. There is also a Taxi rank on Alexandra Avenue (off McPherson St, towards Pascoe Vale Rd).
